The Swiss Air-Rescue (Rega) successfully launched the iRega App for iPhones. Since its release, the iRega App has been among the top 5 free apps. It was downloaded about 60’000 times within the first week. The iRega App enables the user to contact the Swiss Air-Rescue’s operations center and simultaneously transmits important information for rescue missions, e.g. location coordinates.
